Giving yourself a break

Negative thoughts  >  Guilt  >  That time you said something hurtful about someone you love or thought something negative.

Shame  >  That time you forgot something or said a joke that wasn't funny

Hurt  >  That time you were told a hurtful comment

It's normal to give attention to these thoughts that pop up at times which in turn create feelings. However, you shouldn't give them all control over you, because if you do, they'll find a way to worsen your mood and make you sad.

We are our own worst critics, therefore, we give in to these negative thoughts, analyzing the events and everything surrounding them.

However, today, I heard a voice telling me to give myself a break!

The fact you thought something negative or said it to that person isn't because you are a bad person but because for that specific moment, minute, you were irritated. And, it's normal to act that way when one is irritated or annoyed. It does not define you!

The same goes for shame, if you feel ashamed, the people are what worries you, ''Oh! What if they remember that and think about how dumb I must be!''

But in reality, people take things lighter when they're about others and not themselves. Fun fact : The definition of why you actually are even thinking these thoughts.

As for hurt, it's always the other person's responsibility, it's never yours to worry about if it's true or not, hurtful words like we mentioned before, are often said without thinking and just impulsive. So, think about the fact this is not yours to worry about but their own process to figure out what they did and even heal themselves from the feeling of having been a mean person. It's their own shame. People often regret their bad acts, especially those done due to anger, that is, if they have a conscience, which they must normally have unless, say, they are sociopaths.

stuff

Period tracking related to mood, irritability... and events in life.

Taking ideas from youtube videos is nice, but always *make your own version* of everything. Don't follow trends necessarily, but make your own way. With recipes as well,

the reason for expanded mental issues in our time

when we stop and notice, we live a very stressful life. everyday is a challenge and we always feel due to society that we're never 100% accomplished. it gets us used to overthinking which leads to anxiety which leads to stress.

When we live in the empathy without letting it tear us down

We can help better the humans and animals that need us and understand their pain. I can't help but know people who dislike animals lack empathy because it's the empathy that make us feel in the place of the other being and it's obvious if you think they're different so they're not the same, you have a serious lack of empathy. Some people can take this lightly and just think it's a normal thing for people to be ''animal people'' or not, but for us, analysts that especially like psychology, it's quite obvious and it's an open exposure of the person in front of you, that their empathy skills just aren't well developed.

Somtimes, seeing something sad many times, can make a person immune to other's suffering. Therefore, stay in the feeling. instead of constantly avoiding sad pictures, try to sometimes, with limits, live with one so your heart can be more open to help.

Understanding myself

I've been thinking about my feelings, experiences, reactions and so on. I believe I need to know myself better, I believe we all do, only this way one can be able to live an actually satisfying life. As I am getting closer to my 25, I realized I finally got convinced about the fact that there isn't such a thing as ''a happy life'', that everyday is a 50/50 on the chance for it to be a good or a bad day, and that most days have some good things and some bad ones. The same can be said about people, I learned that there might not be such a thing as a bad person and a good person, that almost everyone, minus special cases, almost everyone has the potential to develop into a good person or a bad person. That everything in life is relative and that there's always a good side to bad things and a bad side to good things, even out in nature or in beautiful places, you can be enjoying the bahamas but you'll miss your family one day and feel it's not as fun without a specific person.

I remembered, when I was a teen and used to scroll over Weheartit, finding a quote that said ''life is about learning to dance in the rain'' and thinking it was not that serious at the time, but I can look back on so many things I didn't take seriously before and confirm they're absolutely true today. It's of course natural, we grow up and learn as we grow up. On the way it's true many things happen that we'd rather not, but one cannot regret too much either, because it's inevitable with such little experience in life to not go through difficult moments. Sometimes I wish I was more confident in school, because now that I grew up, I changed in that sense, but as I said, it's wishful thinking, you can't travel back in time or compare being 25 years old with being 17 years old. It's important that I got to the point of not judging myself and being gentle with myself about logical things in life, natural things.

Also, I have a lot of fear around not ''making it'' with my music and my selling project. I know worrying doesn't advance anything, and is useless, but it keeps happening. I feel that by my 25 I should be able to have done many things, but when I look at the youth around me, especially in Spain, I realize one doesn't need much to be satisfied, and I say satisfied because I am happy, mostly. I just often get stressed out about my projects. Nonetheless I am studying in uni and have my own place, so I am grateful.

Someone like me.

I did realize I have many negative thoughts in my mind, but don't we all? After all, I heard from therapists that something like 90% of our thoughts are negative, the vast majority. I try to work with this, I am conscious about my negative thoughts and exchange them with positive ones when I catch them, I also pray and meditate, which help tremendously. It's true that I view humans as disasters sometimes, myself included, but I am really a better version of myself when I pray more and read the bible every day, it's really something that warms my heart to think about, how powerful it actually truly is. I stray sometimes, unfortunately, in periods when I just get distracted and pray less and stop reading, and then I go back to being nervous and irritable, not to mention anxious.

I realized I could talk less, I mean with my mom, because I maybe speak more than I would have liked, not referring to what I say but to the amount of talking throughout the day, because I feel a strong connexion with my mom and we are together all day in one house, having more than a 1000 thoughts a day as humans, I get the need to share some of them with her sometimes, and sometimes she's busy and I don't realize it. So talking less would be something I'd like.

I feel empathy for others, but I have a protective shield, that makes it easy for me to erase people from my life without suffering, I didn't choose to feel this way, but it one day happened, I know I developed it because I wasn't this way before my adolescence. It's clearly a defense mechanism due to a lot of moving houses and friends. The empathy is also absent with people that have been very mean to me. It's like it turns on and off depending on the people.

I've been always outside of groups, and this took away the belonging feeling from me and the security feeling. What's good to know is that it hasn't been an active act others chose to do, but my own circumstances on constantly moving from place to place. Nonetheless I have gone through the loneliness that comes with it.

I am a shy person by birth I'd say, I've been this way since kindergarten, having such a bad memory and do remember this. I am not introverted, but just shy and insecure around unknown people, I actually still think that's only natural, because how would life be if we trusted unknown people? A bit of insecurity can be healthy then. I am the kind of person that's shy in the ''getting to know each other'' phase but then become very close with people. I am a good friend, I listen and advice a lot and I always try to make people laugh, I am unsure why but it's again something in my personality that's just part of me.

I have had a period of mistrust in humans, to the point that I'd think of it when seeing people, I felt a sense of disconnexion from other humans, almost viewing them as aliens, thinking they might very probably be different in the way they feel and think, and that people are not to trust until they prove the opposite. Where I took it from, I have no idea, but it's better now, I actually feel almost the opposite nowadays. I now always think we're not as different as we think, we feel most feelings the same way and people mostly want to do good, and if they do bad, we should forgive because we too make mistakes and it's part of being human.

I did realize I myself am not as kind as I thought, maybe, because I can't tolerate certain personalities and I do critisize them, being sincere with myself, I understood that I am just not absolutely kind, although I suffer so much if any random person doesn't feel well and genuinely do what I can for them, in other situations, when it's people saying things I view as dumb, like spreading ideas via TV that are bad for future generations and any person watching, I do critisize but I know it might be normal and maybe everyone does this, when disagreeing, but it doesn't make it good.

Saying sorry more, and throwing away pride once and for all, is very important. Being mindful of own thoughts and knowing how to act with them. Knowing one's self, one's personality to be able to know what you like and what you dislike, what you want to do in your life and what you don't need, so you don't live 80 years, and look back, realizing you didn't do what you wanted because you didn't realize what it was until late. Actually this is one of the worst things that could happen to me.

Societie's pressure!

I realized I don't love the way society and some scientists push on us, push on me their beliefs and ways of thinking. I do like to learn and I am humble enough to do so, but certain ideas from random men or women I've never known, I don't believe I should necessarily adopt into my life. Who says they're 100% true? I believe each person should have their filosphy and to be inspired of course, it helps but not necessarily adopt people's inventions about how certain things should be done. And society, its pressure and expectations, they're too much and many people fallen into mental issues don't realize, poor them, that it's actually societie's pressure that made them feel so, because I don't believe everyone needs to follow the traditions, the made up idea of fun, the very rigid unspoken rules around in society. I do think that living in nature and not working is also a valid and happy way of living, for example!

Therefore, write down about your personality, the good and bad, your taste in different things, what you actually want so you plan your life accordingly.

My fight with anxiety

It's fine, it's acceptable. Accept it. That is what I really need to hear from myself.

I am still not accepting my anxiety, this is making me more anxious and can lead me to a very bad path, without a doubt depression. It's hard for me to accept it when I feel it, I am so eager to be happy that I must enjoy every good moment, and I become anxious about not doing so and then I keep thinking about my anxiety, did it ruin my moment? Why couldn't I control it? Why wasn't I strong enough? I should have focused more. This is my constant nightmare, it happens out of nowhere and stays with me no matter how hard I try to escape, my thoughts torture me. I get mad at myself in some way because I think of how bad it's gotten, why are my thoughts so constant and why do I have so little control over them... It's as if I am my worst enemy. I destroy myself bit by bit, without actually wanting to do it, my thought pattern and my fear control my head and end up making me my worst enemy.

I should realize, that although I have a good life, I am where I want to be, I look the way I want to look, I work with what I need to, I also have a tough past, and that it's okay since life is not paradise, it's okay to have all one wants and still have issues. This is part of me now, and as long as I am still not accepting it is, I'll only get worse. Just like I love singing, riding horses, studying psychology, I am kind, goofy but also anxious. It's part of it all, I wish it weren't, but I can't wish too much, it's part of this whole we live in, it exists in this world, in our feelings, so I only have acceptance left towards it.

Sometimes I wonder

Sometimes I wonder...

About how my life would be having stayed in Morocco...

I know I'd be a loser, because I am horrible at math, and it's harder there and taught in Arabic..

Therefore, I wouldn't have completed my studies...

As a consequence, I'd have a job as a beautician or hairdresser...

This way, I'd be paid very low wages...

I'd make 300€ maximum...

I'd never been able to be independent until I get married...

I'd always depend on a man to ''save'' me from dependence...

I'd live in a place where I fear becoming sick...

Because it could mean waiting too long to be attended...

My rights would not be very relevant...

Because human rights are not fully developed...

Because I am a woman in an Islamic country...

I'd never been able to choose my religion...

The price would be too high...

I'd be rejected by everyone I know...

BUT

Sometimes I wonder,

What price I paid to be able to escape it all...

Very passively and invisibly...

A silent agony...

Of being mute for years...

Not knowing a new language...

Of extreme change in surroundings...

Without daylight or sunlight...

Alone...

Of agonizing nostalgia...

Everyday...

Everyday...

When waking up from it all...

When being able to communicate...

Now affected to the core...

Now too sore...

And it's so strong...

What this does to a human being...

It changes her forever...

The heavyweight transforms into chronic anxiety...

THEREFORE

Sometimes I wonder...

If despite all the rights I lacked and poverty I would have fallen into...

I would have stayed emotionally stable...

Analyze your thoughts

Questions to myself about my feelings :

What do I feel when I see someone in a better situation? Do I envy them?

I am unsure if I feel envy sometimes when I see someone in a better situation economically and socially. I have missed a solid social entourage, therefore, I might feel bad when I see a girl with that kind of stability. Also economically, I am not interested in money in general, I am very simplistic, but I might feel like I'd want to have the freedom of travelling that money offers and its stability.

What do I feel when someone looks badly at me?

I am sensitive to those kind of things, long stares, a bad look or negative words, being ignored, being insulted. I feel my heart beats fast and I shake, depending on the degree of the offense. But I always have strong emotions to smaller things. I am unsure why.

What do I feel when I am with people different than me?

I feel uncomfortable and I look forward to going home, I believe everyone deserves a chance, even when our differences are big, but I don't believe in giving chances to people that are self-focused and that feel it's okay to use others for their needs.

How do I act when I am with extroverted people?

Sometimes when I am with extroverted people, they say what they mean about anything and I can't because I am scared of being too personal with unknown people with my opinions, or just to say something irrelevant or not funny. I often feel like the person that is extroverted speaks a lot and doesn't let others say their own meanings. I try to adapt sometimes to those situations, by laughing at things that aren't funny for me for example or speaking a certain way, adapting so they understand me, because I actually speak very differently to them and my subjects would seem to mature.

How do I act when I am with soemeone I am interested in romantically?

I speak very little, I listen more to them and I am just myself. Until I get to know them well, I will not tell about my experiences.

Does God's advice stay in my mind when I am with people? When I am challenged?

I sometimes get lost in the world and overwhelmed by the amount of people around me, by the places, the surroundings and I forget that God is with me and protecting me and that in reality everyone and everywhere are just his little creations and that the creator saved me and chose me as His daughter.

How do I feel when I am about to read the bible?

Many times I don't feel excited, because I don't like to read a lot, I get bored by reading but once I read I feel peace and happiness inside, when I receive the message of God. My issue with boredom in church or the bible has nothing to do with God, but with my impatience for hours of listening to narratives and reading a lot of text.

What type of thoughts occupies my mind the most?
